Hibberd Consulting Engineers trades as an operating division of FTM Projects Ltd, which was formed in 1999. Nicholas Hibberd B.Eng (Hons) CEng MIStructE is the Managing Director of the company.  Nick has around twenty years experience of the industry, working on a varied range of projects within both multi-national and local consultancy businesses.   
The practice Directors and Engineers experience includes building structures and works in many sectors including: Industrial (manufacturing, distribution and storage), Offices and Commercial Buildings, Retail (shops, shopping centres and retail parks), Education (Schools and Colleges), Healthcare (hospitals and surgeries), Sports and Leisure (sports centres, public houses, restaurants), Military Facilities (hangars, general storage, munitions stores, below ground tanks, specialist buildings) and Residential (domestic dwellings, apartments, specialist accommodation).  
Hibberd Consulting Engineers provide services which include the design of: Steel framed buildings, Concrete framed buildings (in situ and precast), Concrete floors, Masonry structures, Timber framed buildings, Below ground storm and foul water drainage systems, Retaining walls,

Foundations, Highway modifications, Restraint of elevations (masonry and others).  The practice is also experienced in structural inspections and investigations into most types of building structures. The practice is accustomed to producing drawings using CAD systems (AutoCAD) and producing calculations either by hand or using a range of specialist software where appropriate.  Our computer operations are Windows based with Microsoft applications.  E-mail project communication is routinely used.

Health and Safety - health and safety is an important issue within the practice.  Risk is eliminated as far as possible by good design and communication.  The practice is accustomed to working within the CDM Regulations. The practice Directors and Engineers are chartered members of either the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
